Two Filmmakers, One Mystery
Created by filmmakers Rensil D'Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra, who respectively serve as its director and producer (along with Sapna Malhotra), Shaque: Trust No One is produced under the Alchemy Films banner. D'Silva is the film writer (who has credits including co-writing Rang De Basanti and helming Kurbaan). He is as well a TV show writer (his credits include the Indian adaption of hit thriller show 24) behind this Hindi Netflix series.
Malhotra's feature directorial Hichki (starring Rani Mukerji as a school teacher with Tourette's syndrome who mentors troubled teens) is a must-see film. He also directed the period drama Maharaj, streaming on Netflix. Shaque: Trust No One, on the other hand, marks their collaboration on this new Hindi mystery series.
Nine Years of Photographs
Shaque means 'suspicion' in Hindi, and Trust No One is aptly its English subtitle. The seven-episodic mystery thriller centres around a mystery that spans nine years of its narrative (across seven episodes) and follows the tagline, "Everyone's a suspect, no one's innocent."
A child goes missing, and every year thereafter, the mother receives the child's photograph. She relentlessly chases clues and pokes around people and places linked to her child's abduction. Anvita (Parineeti Chopra) uncovers the shocking truth that it has this all along been under her nose, so to speak, in her immediate circle.

A First Series for Parineeti
Shaque: Trust No One stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead. Starring opposite her are Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jennifer Winget, Anup Soni, Sumeet Vyas, Soni Razdan and others. Chopra plays Anvita Dutt, Bhasin is Alok Dutt and Winget is Sakshi Mathur, among the central characters.
Interestingly, the cast list has three Dutts and two Mathurs in it, so watch out for them. Here's a rundown of who else's in the show, and where you've seen them before.
Tahir Raj Bhasin as Alok Dutt. If there's one kind of character Tahir excels at portraying, it's the trapped man. Watch out for him in this new Netflix Hindi series. Bhasin previously featured in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein on the OTT platform, and was memorable as the villain in actioner Mardaani.
Jennifer Winget as Sakshi Mathur. The star is a staple of Hindi television (think Beyhadh, Code M, etc). She will no doubt delight her TV followers on the small side of the screen with her performance in Shaque: Trust No One.
Anup Soni as Inspector Khurana. If a child is missing, a cop's presence is imminent! Long-time Crime Patrol host Anup Soni will evoke a sense of trust among TV crime show enthusiasts, which this Netflix series may well counter.
Sumeet Vyas as Dr. Bhaskar. A familiar face from TV and web shows alike, you saw Vyas in web series Permanent Roommates as Mikesh, among other credits.
Soni Razdan as Madhu Dutt. In Raazi, she played the mother. Watch out for how she fares this time around!
Harleen Sethi as Shreya. You saw Sethi in Kohrra, Netflix's Punjab-set crime series, among other streaming credits.
Dhruv Chaudhary as Gaurav Mathur.
Amar Singh Chamkila and The Girl on the Train are Chopra's previous credits on the streaming giant. Hasee Toh Phasee and Ishaqzaade among her earlier flicks, Chopra has steadily moved towards dramatic fare. Shaque: Trust No One marks her first series.
Seven Episodes, All Out
Shaque: Trust No One has seven episodes streaming on Netflix from Thursday, 24 September 2026. All the episodes of this Hindi thriller are available to stream on the platform in India from Day One of its release. It is part of the OTT subscription and does not have a theatrical release.
As of writing, Netflix has not revealed the timings of individual episodes of its Hindi series Shaque: Trust No One. However, you can check back with us for updates.
Official Trailer
Streaming on Netflix now, Hindi mystery thriller Shaque: Trust No One starring Parineeti Chopra, Tahir Raj Bhasin and others has released its official trailer and poster. The 2-min 9-sec-long official trailer debuted on Netflix India's official YouTube handle on 10 September 2026. Watch it here.
Who It's For
Shaque: Trust No One will appeal to whodunit enthusiasts. It has the makings of a taut mystery with its premise promising an emotional centre that breathes life into a whodunit, a must for any crime drama worth its salt. Moreover, at just seven episodes, it promises not to stretch itself thin either.
If you've been missing a good Hindi thriller in theatres, Drishyam: The Conclusion is in cinemas. This month also sees the release of Malayalam crime drama Eyes.
